There was a Scepter/Wand Appreciation Society??

That sounds cool to me, being a collector of Scepter/Wand soul!!

Now, why can't someone start an Amy/Mala/Bell Appreciation Society??

Best,

Mark

RE: >
I am currently in touch (by e-mail) with Dave. However he is a very private person these days so does not like getting mail from people he doesn't know. If you mail your questions for him to me (jsoulsmith@aol.com), I will pass them along together with your e-mail address. You 'should' get an answer from him.

Jackie Lee...was a friend of Karen Speadbury aka Sharon Davis. I think Jackie ran the Marvin and Tammi fan Club or possibly Jimmy Ruffin or even both!!

My mate Graham saw Gloria at a show about a year ago...I shall ask him if he has a phone number for her although he loses things easily so I don't hold out much hope.

Mel...most of the addresses in those old books where when we lived at home with our parents who still live at those addresses, so it might be worth contacting those old addresses. From memory, in those days we used to have detailed addresses even down to the number of the house. Certainly any letter sent to the address for me in those old 4 Tops/Supes newsletters would reach me some 30 odd years later!

Good luck mate

Many thanks fellas,JSmith I will mail you,if you are in touch with Dave, can you tell him that I shared a Flat with Peter Lawson and I was helping Pete with his various articles for his magazines that were named after Dave Godin.I Was there when he was about to meet Dave and do the interview on him.But when he came I left them at it.By the way,Do you know a close good friend of mine,Joey Dunlop from Hope,Nr Wrexham?I Know Mr.Godins a nice quiet guy,and that I will appreciate any decision he makes.(As long as its the right one)JOKE!Hey John, showing your age there mate, appreciate any help whatsoever. Some remarkable information was obtained as your aware of John, and I thought it might make a thread or two.All these people were pioneers in a lot of ways. Also I want to get the Articles about Liverpool having the 2nd largest membership of The Tamla Motown Appreciation Society in,at the time,1965.Which blows away any crap that Liverpool never had a Soul following.Reading these articles, will put the ignorant, smart arses straight.Apart from which,Liverpool had ALL-NIGHTERS in 1961/62 at The Iron Door club.Anyway, sorry John, waffling a bit, good to hear from you mate.MEL.

Hi John

That was a revelation to hear Sharon is not Sharon's real name!

I refer to her Motown book at least once a week.

She was on telly recently on the Diana Ross mini-documentary.
