11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. - DC Hand Dance: From Jitterbug to Hand Dance
Howard University Blackburn Center, Washington, DC
Screening of the documentary "Swing, Bop & Hand Dance". Discussion moderated by documentary producer, Beverly Lindsay-Johnson. The National Hand Dance Association of Washington, DC performs and demonstrates DC Hand Dance from the 1950s to the present. (DC Hand Dance is a partner bop-style dance). Free & Open to the public


1:00-5:00 p.m. - Doo-Wop Shop - Howard University Blackburn Center
CDs and books for sale by the vocal groups and an opportunity for autograph seekers. Materials sold by artists only -- no vendors. Free & Open to the public

Stroll down memory lane as national and local vocal groups and soloists perform their songs that touch your heart, meet and greet these music legends -- dance to the music of the 1950s and early 60s with music by Washington area "oldies" DJs - "DJ Addie" and "DJ Charlie Stinchcomb".
