Hopefully if you click on the link below you'll go to a feature on James Brown. It's written in British English - so some of it might be incomprehensible to readers in the USA... Have you heard of the Bisto Kid? http://www.guardian.co.uk/arts /glastonbury2004/story/0,14551 ,1229535,00.html

Graham and anyone else. "The Bisto Kid" is a cartoon character ( a boy of about 10 years old )used to advertize "Bisto" gravy .. that thick brown stuff that we pour over our meat dishes. In the commercials he sniffs the air and says "Aah .. Bisto" in a satisfied sort of way. I think the commercials have been running since before world war two!! Roger |

Great pics Soul Sister! Hi Roger. Yes, I know about Bisto; It's one of the things I brought back to Taiwan from my last trip to England. Maybe the Inland Revenue should be explained too? |

WonderB; This is Soul Sister, NOT SisD! LOL! I thought you knew we were two different people! LOL! Your not the first to get us mixed up, LOL! The trophies are "JB's Wall Of Fame" in his home, I took that photo in 1967, the 2nd. one in 1968. The last one at Lincoln Center in 1999. I like your glossy of James from the 50's! He & his son Teddy looked identical there. S.S. |

Repeat after me "Soul Sister and SisDetroit are two different individuals." Again "Soul Sister and SisDetroit are two different unique individuals." One more time, "Soul Sister and SisDetroit are both beautiful, and soulful, but they are two different individuals." Soul Sister is Mrs. Scott who has great rare photos. SisDetroit is just a nobody trying to tell everybody about somebody. :o) |
