1)I'm In Love(I'm in heaven--she doesnt really sing on this-she just rides to heaven).
2)Don't Play That Song(what can one say?--she says it all)
3)Angel(love her rap per Caroline etc etc)
4)Chain of Fools("forget" Respect-this really says it)
5)Until You Come Back To Me(who would have known that Aretha can convey such truth even when coy)
6)A Natural Woman--Carole and Aretha--hmmhmmhmm--is there a better moment than "when my soul was in the lost and found?)
7)Ain't No Way--and Cissy tops it all off
8)Another Night-underrated
9)A Rose Is Still A Rose--and Aretha is still the best
10)Givin Him Something He Can Feel
OKOK--these were the first to come to mind --of all top 10s this is probably most silly considering her highness but I just needed to have an Aretha moment.

Jimmy Mack, may I join you on that Aretha moment?
I understand and know she doesn't really sound like she used to, but she's still that Lady, and I still love her music...and always will.

6 of 10 on Columbia! I bet I'm the only on SD favouring columbia over Atlantic. No Chess recordings! And, I'm a Blues and Gospel fan! Tsk! Tsk! I guess there's no accounting for taste!

Bubbling under:

I Say A Little Prayer
If Ever I Would Leave You
Follow Your Heart
I Can't See Myself Leavin' You

Robb--dont sell yourself short--revisonist history loves her at Columbia-u r cutting edge. What is Ben E's version's like--does he cut loose like her highness? I thought the AMerican Idol finalists did a vg job with I Knew You Were Waiting--an underrated song which Ive come to love more!
