Hello All NYC SD Members: Jimmy Mack has a great idea!! The SD45CC as we call it has been major league fun. Not everyone has 45's to bring, but they bring themselves and the love and knowledge of Soul music with them and that is truly the best part of getting together. Yes it's fun to look at, hold and play the tunes. But it's the talking, jokes, info and occassional drink or two that really makes the whole thing alot of fun. There is something nice about being able to get together with other individuals who enjoy what you do and talk and laugh about for several hours. Yes the site is great. But, being in the flesh does top it. The music does not need to be loud or rare or even unique that does add a little to the mix. It's the getting together of individuals that is the best part of our monthly shindig. Good Luck Jimmy Mack with your endeavor and I hope that all of the NYC SD that post a lot or a little will make the time in their schedules to spend a couple of hours with some people who enjoy and love what they do.
