Diana Ross and her daughter Tracee are on the
May cover of Essence magazine. Good article
& lots of quotes.

Extra had her and Tracee on during phot shoot. When interviewer commented on her tough year Miss Ross glared at him and snapped"Dont go there." Pleasant article tho not much substance. I saw Diana recently-she looks fair--that cover is VERY airbrushed.

I have to agree Jimmy Mack, if all of us had that airbrush effect, I guess we would look good too. (smile).

LOL Medusa, me 2!--so much is illusion--I had only seen Miss Ross on tv or on stage far away-and was shocked by her height(tho granted Im fairly tall).

I know when I saw Aretha Franklin at my Church once, she looked so tall, and at our State Fair, she also looked tall.
When I saw her at the Levi Live Event in February, she looked not so tall...and I know I'm not growing anymore (LOL)

ALL magazine covers are airbrushed. (Or at least all the big name magazines' are.) Touching up cover photos seems to be a requirement if they want to sell more copies at the newsstands. It's so common, there's no reason to say this cover is any different. I accept it as just the way magazines work.

Actually I thought Diana looked pretty good, airbrushed or not, on the Essence cover.

She has good bones, and a beautiful face, even as she grows older. I actually felt a bit sorry for her daughter, looking at that shot, because she isn't quite the beauty her mom is. Very elegant, and a great comedienne though ...

Relax--just saying I saw her in person recently and she is VERY airbrushed-almost like the gauzey lens they used on Lucy in Mame, taking 20 yers off her face. I think we all know about airbrushing but there are degrees.

Everybody, even models in their 20s are airbrushed -- one time they airbrushed Cindy Crawford's famous mole off, they went so far.

Few people, actresses or models, that you see in real life look like they do on magazine covers.

Vickie --
Wow, what hairstyle of Tammi's were they featuring? I read the Diana/Tracee story but didn't see that.

Hey Sue,

She is on Page 80 - I think it's called the "bob cut" ???

Our very own Thommy Girl from this forum tipped me off and Ludie saw it too!! It's great to see Tammi popping up in current magazines like that -

Good Stuff!!
