Did anyone catch this tonight? I foolishly was elsewhere and it doesn't seem to be available for replay on the BBC website. Their special evening at the Sold On Song will be recorded tonight, however.

Dave - are you going to their performance tonight? Being a member of the British Academy, I thought I would stand a chance of getting a ticket, but it seems like it's a closed shop. I have tried all my usual tactics but as yet, have not heard a thing.

I did listen to last nights Radio 2 tx. It was good and I am sure it will be available later on their web page.

I won't be there, Carl. I only knew they were on JW from a Radio 2 trailer while I was out in the car. They reckon some of the stuff from the acad will be available on the Beeb site in due course.

Understood. You missed a good programme. Somebody emailed and asked who played the bass on the early records. Invictus was mentioned and The Four Tops and how they adapted to a different style of production on them. The history of Bernadette was interesting. In fact go to this and go to song lyrics where Lamont Dozier give a history lesson about where he got his ideas from:

They're on Jools Holland's show right now. I'm taping it, 'cause I won't stay the course.
