Thanks, Eli. Anybody check out the new Van Hunt CD ? I'd highly recommend it for it's applaudable old school soul flavor. Exciting new artist that I think will enjoy a long career. "They" say he's a cross between Prince and Marvin Gaye. To me he's more like Donny Hathaway and Curtis Mayfield. Either way...you can't lose. | ||

Linda, By the way if you like photos of those classic artists, check Mr McDougals thread. Both Mr McDougal & Wonder B have posted some great & rare photos there!! If Jazz is your thing, there are some great shots of Mr Jimmy Scott in Soul Sisters thread. If you like Northern Soul, there's a lot of info in that thread. We've even got jokes here. However, it would also be great to see you visit the Soulful Detroit Anonymous thread. We just go there & discuss our love for this site, things like that. It gets a little humorous in there & it's all in fun. So, as you see, you've joined a pretty well balanced forum & you'll be suprised & pleased with some of the people you'll meet here. Phil, Van Hunt's self-titled debut is his only CD to date, so that's the one. My favorite tracks are "Seconds of Pleasure" and "What Can I Say", but it's all good. Regards, Ken | ||
