Just wondering if anyone has any gut instinct about who's going to win & why do you think they'll win??? |

FANTASIA Because she has stage presence and really emotes whatever song she sings. But most of all she can really sing (Message edited by Vonnie on May 25, 2004) |

Hey Vonnie! After that mess of an arrangement that they made of All My Life, did Fantasia come back or what!!!! She sang Summertime & that girl has some serious charisma working for her. She's not just a singer, that girl is a performer & man, did she ever perform! Diana sound nice, she doesn't sound great to me. When she was finishing up that Celine Dion song (her first song), she way a bit off-key & was losing it. How they found it to be great was beyond me. She's about to sing Don't Cry Out Loud & before I hear it, I guarantee that she'll be dull & flat in the chorus. She likes this song because it has a big finish. She kills the end, she has a strong voice, but her verses are off & can put you nto sleep. Guarantee that she'll go for the big finish. And she just cracked twice on the chorus. |

Randy hit it dead on the head, she was WAY off. Finally, they have ears. No BS critique, just honesty. If this girl wins off of that performance, I know that something's rotten in America. Fantasia would have to have a total loss of voice to lose & I know that's not going to happen. I'm just glad to know that my ears still function well. Can't wait to see Fantasia go for it like the champ she is. If she was a athlete, she'd be Michael Jordan.....CLUTCH!!! |

Hey lady Medusa, I hear you. Somehow, I think that the audience response, Paul Ankas' response & Fantasias' charisma will be acknowledged. I think that her appeal is undeniable. She reached out & had that audience in the palm of her hand. I can't imagine decent people stealing this away from her in plain sight. I believe if that should happen, you'll see outrage & an investigation that you wouldn't believe. Already, I'm sure that they are going to revamp the voting process. There will be something about that on Fox 5 news tonight. This has become an embarassment to them. If people can't believe in the integrity of the show, there'll be no reason to watch. There's simply too much money involved for them to allow this nonsense to continue. Money will make them make any necessary changes to protect their franchise, believe that. |

Juice, Fantasia sang her buns off on the song written by Tamara Gray. I was so impressed with her rendition, exhuberence and stage demeanor. She wowed the audience and the judges and there is no way that any person with normal ears will not vote for her as the next Idol. |

Fantasia!!! She is talented, she can sing, she has a dynamic stage presence. She is a natural. imo. Diana is a joke. She sings off key quite a lot and her voice isnt developed quite yet. |

Bobby E! I'm glad to see that my ears are still in effect! I'm so tired of all of those cheers for mediocre singing. I often wonder would all of those cheering folks really plunk down cash money to buy the performances that they've been cheering? I know that I wouldn't! |

Well, I'm off to the Ear, Nose and Throat doctor this morning! LOL. I'm hoping Fantasia gets it tonight, and she truly deserves it. But I like Diana too. She wasn't very good last night, but they both hit some bad notes. They are both probably exhausted. There's something for everybody -- not everybody likes the same thing. So I'll just apologize for thinking Diana's got some talent and have a checkup. My bad ... |

I was wet-eyed after watching Fantasia's last performance! This hasn't happened to me for many, many years, so I certainly hope that Fantasia becomes the next Idol. She's got it all: voice, movement ... and she seems to truly feel the music. However, I think that Simon was out-of-line to fault the other young woman for having sung about climbing "mountains" without the necessary life experiences. For once, I think that he should have kept his mouth shut. |

I think that if for some reason the votes are in Diana's favor, the powers that be will "pull some strings" for Fantasia to win, deservedly so, otherwise all hell wil break loose and Idol will be in trouble due to controversy and unfair practices and will be booted off the air. Just my thought. |

Its hard to predict a winner. On sheer voice and performing talent, I'd say Fantasia. But the voting results have been so unpredictable this season. Pure talent hasn't always been the yardstick. Diana might very well win. That's not to say I don't think Diana has talent. I like her voice a great deal, but I think she still has some developing to do. Either way, I'll be buying both of their cds. Fantasia might have a slight edge because her best performance closed the show. Her voters might remember the final song more than her so-so performances earlier in the show. Whereas Diana started off last night at her best and sort of went downhill. Last night's show was a bit of a bore to me. And in truth, I don't think either girl was consistent. Ironicially, both of them gave their best performance on the original song. I can't say whose version was better because I loved them both. But their other performances were a snooze. We've seen them sing TURN THE BEAT AROUND, DON'T CRY OUT LOUD, and SUMMERTIME before, and in all cases, much better than they did last night. |

Yes Bobby, That WB Superstars show is funny. The look on the "contestants" faces when they are turned away for singing well, is hilarious. That show is crazy!! As for what you're saying about A.I., I'm got the feeling that certain producers & sponsors, have their speed dial hooked up to Fantasias number. There is no way that they can allow another "MISTAKE" to steal this competition from Fantasia. After the Jennifer & LaToya fiascos, they know that a WHOLE LOT of eyes are watching now...A WHOLE LOT OF EYES. These producers are counting on Idol being around for awhile, not to mention their marketing of products & merchandise. They are well aware that their credibility is on the line. No credibility = no sponsors = no A.I. When Clive Davis & Paul Anka both praise a singer ON NATIONAL TV, you've been put on notice. When the live audience & judges overwhelmingly pronounce the winner, someones going to notice. Bobby, I'm willing to say here & now, if Fantasia loses, there will be a stink raised so bad, that some politician will step in & speak about it. Remember, it is an election year. You can't expect folks to get behind war in a foreign land, when there are still problems at home. If Fantasia should lose, it will only serve to remind folks that America still has internal problems....Jennifer, LaToya & Fantasia???? It just wouldn't look to good if you know what I mean. Either way, I predict a major overhaul in the shows' voting proceedures! |

That production was GREAT. Whoever they are should have produced M45. I loved those songs. I got excited when that guy was singing "Reach Out" and you could see the Four Tops Lp's going across the big screen. The vocal trainers did a fantastic job. And Red did his thing, finally. |

Sis, You're right on target, the production was stupendous. The show was so exciting! It made M45 pale by comparison, what a shame. I was so impressed with the whole show. And yes, Red did his thing, and so did all the other Idols who were cut from the finals. The excitement I felt through the whole show, is the way I should have felt on M45. I'm sure everyone saw all those big wheels in the audience. I laughed so hard when the make-up lady was going to powder the nose of Berry Manillo, but she didn't know who he was. She started to powder the nose of the black guy. Oh: Does anyone other than me feel the delayed speech of Paula Abdul? She is very remedial in her delivery. She uses cliches EVERY time as a way out of a real answer and she looks lost most of the time...or could it be she has discovered that she really could not sing compared to some of the worst folk? Hi all! Ladies, that is why she just couldn't be totally honest & she's admitted that in interviews. She was knocked for having lightweight skills & as such, she identifies a little to much with these folks. Honestly, she's doing them no favors either. I don't believe in giving people false hope & every time she gives a less than candid reponse, that's what she's doing. Paula was very lucky & fortunate in her career. Not all of these aspirants will be as fortunate. There's some poor kid out there with marginal talent at best, who will believe that they have a chance because Paula said they have talent. Hmmm........ |
