I am a lover of the 60s and some 70s divas. Ladies who truly saang their arses off.Latoiya is one such singer...Fallen Star is one example of her fabulousness. Miss Stacey Francis is another gal who can tear the roof off with her vocal range and resonant tones. These gals must be applauded and supported. Cos there aint nothin' in those stores for an ole thang like me to patronize. |

Latoiya was on Jay Leno last year with Snoop Dogg. She sang her song FALLEN ANGEL and Snoop just stood by and danced and grooved (cos to Mr Snoop ,Miss Latoiya walks on water). She was the whole show.Such a fantastic delivery and she's cute as a button as well! and there's no rapping coming out of her luscious lips, just wondrous riffs and range and depth and SOUL...Stacey Francis is still struggling I gather because I don't see her too often. I believe she was in SING the movie which I didn't see but was told about. But I did catch her on the loathsome Gordon Elliott show. And wow was I glad I tuned in. She was in the teeny bop group the Ex-girlfriends. but she needs no other singers to show up.Believe me ...Jennifer Hudson and Fantasia ,you're not alone in this struggle to be heard. I love y'all. http://www.royaljones.com |

Latoya Williams is bad! I like that video that she had with Snopp and the others from the other year. I have a cd sampler with her and the other "Doggy's Angels" on it. She can blow straight up 70's style! |

Hi La Brenda, I been away from SD for awhile. I just got back on board yesterday. Yes I know or I have heard of LaToiya Williams's music, She made a video about 2 yrs back. It was a jam. Her video was a type of 70's retro of back in the day, with the fashions, and using older camera techs. The video had these run lines in the sceen to make it look that way, it was fly. Her song the same song I'm thinking about, I think, is on a Snoop Dogg compliation called The Dogg Pound Famly, that can be ordered on Snoop's website. A young cousin of mine has it. It features a lot of new faces, amd some old faces from the Death Row era also. LaToiya's song has a80's feel to it and her 70's styled video is off the chain. Both song and video innovative that I hadn't seen or heard any thing like it since. |

FALLEN STAR video credited to a famous director that slips my mind .(COPPOLA perhaps?) I have it tho.I mean really famous director. Like academy award status director. She's floating around with some serious wighats on. She is much lovelier in down to earth interviews. She's quite a chameleon this powerhouse expressive diva. She's on Jay Z's last one as well...I have a coupla more things she's done, all good. Her cd was due out several months back. Something is definitely wrong since it hasn't been released. She was to Snoop what Mary Wells was to Berry....well kinda sorta...My impression anyway...Anyone reading this that hasn't had the treat of hearing ms LaTOIYA sing is in for a supersized treat and a half. Take my word....oh yeah..take the word of a stranger...who means well!...well, wha'd'ya think? hmmmn? was I right? SNOOPS ALL STARS cd features the 'fallen angel' track and his dvd features the video. N-joy |

What's the name of the Snoop DVD that has the Latoya video on it? I liked that video, it was real cool. Isn't she on that Jay-Z song "All Around The World"? |

LaBrenda, I'm glad you hipped me to the proper spelling of her name. No wonder she never came up when I was doing searches on her before this thread. They spun one of her tunes up in the club tonight. |
