Hi, With as much talent as these people had, one has to wonder why they didn't become more successful & what ever became of them... Chris Clark--did she ever record anything after her Motown/Weed years; where is she now? Al Wilson--(what a voice)--what is he doing now; is he still performing? *Feel free to add to the list* Marilyn (Message edited by Marilyn on October 13, 2004) |

What's up Kdub, If memory serves me correctly, the lead singer of H-Town died fairly recently. When I get back home, I'll try to get you some info. I seem to remember hearing something about that on one of the TV tabloid music shows. I think that occurred not very long after the lead singer of the group Intro died. |

The last I heard, Al B. Sure ! was hosting a radio show in Northern California. WRT Keith Washington...In passing I heard that he had signed with Qwest, but pissed off "Q"...which was like career suicide. |

What's up everyone? Handsome: unfortunately Kenny Greene died on October 1, 2001 from complications of AIDS. Earlier that year, he was interviewed in Sister 2 Sister magazine, where he admitted to being bisexual & had full blown AIDS. It was sad, as Kenny was one talented singer. Here's a link that gives more information about his work & passing: http://www.underground-soul.co m/artists/intro.htm Kenny Greene R.I.P. |

Dino Conner known as Drochey died in a car accident on Jan 28 2003. He was only 28 years old. H-Town has a website honoring his memory. Here's the link: http://www.geocities.com/dinos hazamgi_of_htown/ Dino Conner R.I.P. |

I saw pics of Chris Clark last year --I believe she was in NYC exhibiting her art work I think. I think I may have seen Al Wilson a PBS show--a great vocal talent. |

Solo got lost in the shuffle when A&M Records was sold and Jam & Lewis' vanity label Perspective went down the tubes with it. Same thing with Mint Condition. The only group/artist that re-emerged on a new label was Sounds of Blackness. Solo lead singer Eunique Mack has been seen singing around the NYC subways...but supposedly has/had a project he was working on. Google him...I think he has a website. |

I have one. I always wondered what happened to the brothers Arthur and Richard Brooks who were in the late 50's Impressions but left right after "Gypsy woman" in 1961? Did they ever record again together or seperately? |

Frankie: There was an earlier thread on SD regarding that, which discussed why they left the group, and got into the subject of what they did after. I seem to remember the posters saying that neither of them recorded again, but I'm not certain. I can say that I've looked through Millions of records, and can't remember seeing their name on later records, except as writers on their old Impressions songs recorded later by somene else. I don't remember hearing about them in Chicago in the '60s. But, of course that doesn't mean they didn't record again. I can't remember the name of the thread they were discussed in, but it might have "Impressions" in the title. |
