Jimmy, You're talking about the late Dee Marie Warren, who died in a car crash around 1985. She started out with Alton McClain & Destiny. She moved on to Krystol & after their first LP, she died in a car crash. If memory serves me correctly, they wrote a tribute to her on their second LP. |

The member of Alton McClain and Destiny that you are referring to is D'Marie Warren (a.k.a Delores Marie Warren b. 30th May 1951 d. 22nd February 1985, Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.). The third member was named Robyrta L. Stiger. |

The Billboard Dance Book says "Warren died in a car crash in 1985. Stiger later joined Krystol." |

Hi Jimmy, I sure hope that Billboard mentioned that Dee Marie was a member of Krystol. I'm looking at their first LP as I type this & she was definitely of member of Krystol. That would be the LP with the classics, After The Dance & that gorgeous ballad, Same Place, Same Time. On the back of the LP cover, the girls are in thier dressing room, with a mirror behind them. |

I think that Billboard had better get a new fact finder, or find the LP. In this case, they got it wrong. |

Warren & Stiger were in the group Alton McClain & Destiny at the same time. This group recorded 3 albums together. When the group disbanded, Warren & Stiger joined Karon Floyd & Tina (don't remember her last name at the moment) and formed the group Kystol. This group recorded 2 lps. When Warren passed, another lady Robbi replaced her. Soon after the Second lp Talk of The Town was released, Karon Floyd left the group to be a mom and they became a trio with Robbi doing most of the leads. The ladies recorded 2 more lps with moderate success in the eaerly 90s. Now can anyone tell me what happen to them after that. |
