Hey Everyone, A while ago I picked up an album on the Rare Earth label called the "God Squad featuring Leonard Caston". It was produced by Hank Cosby. There's only a couple of vocal tracks on the album & the rest really sounds like the Funk Brothers with the B-3 playing the lead on most of the cuts. Actually the bass is the featured solo on at least on of the tracks. Was Leonard Caston the organist on this album or was it Earl Van Dyke? Anyone? Ralph? It was released in 1972. Is this a "lost" Funk Brothers solo album? |

Peter Rivera has just rejoined the form. Pete, if you see this, maybe you can answer the question. It seems this was a question asked in the earlier days of the forum, but I can't remember for sure. |
