I read that Gwen was in the Jewels in Miami(there is a famous girl group of that name who still perform together in DC area I beleive--another Jewels group with Gwen???)and initially was being considered for Undisputed Truth. Did Taka Boom get the job in UT? |

Gwen Dickey,was singing backup along with another young lady,for John Edwards(Spinners)when i first saw her. We (The Truth)had worked that weekend at Joe Nameth's club in Miami. I kept my entire band in Miami three days convincing her to leave Miami for La to become the female lead for the undisputed truth...(she did)the rest is history ,in fact she sang a line in You Plus Me= love,along with Taka Boom...said Joe Pep |
