I bought it last week, and enjoy it very much. Chaka sounds as good as ever. But I do have one small quibble: I think there could have been a bit more care on the vocals. 95% of them were fine. But there were some moments where a slight rasp would come into Chaka's voice, and I don't think it was always intentional. It might have been wise to do some lines over. From the sound of it, these vocals were done in one take along with the orchestra. Perhaps they were on a roll, and didn't want to fix the snags. |
