I agree with Bobby, let Diana's daughter play the role, although Lauryn Hill would be a good choice as well. I would cast BG's son, Kennedy (aka Rockwell) as Berry Gordy. BTW, does anybody know any of the particulars about this biopic? When is it scheduled to air? Who is producing the thing? Is BG directly involved or is it to be an unauthorized biography? Please don't tell me it's gonna be another watered-down, inaccurate Suzanne De Passe offering like the ones we've seen in the past. Lauryn could play Gladys Knight. Diana Ross soulc be played by one of her kids, whcih I thnk is too close for comfort...Diana would have creative control and drive the 'choice person' crazy...Maybe that wonderful actress on Soul Food with those Diana eyes and the locks...she sings a little too or Erica *whatshername* on Living Single...they could pull it off with makeup and practice...close Diana look alikes I think... | ||

I don't know about Lauren Hill...but I agree about Tracee Ross playing her. The one who played BG in THE TEMPTATIONS is a good choice too! Larenz Tate...I agree for the younger BG. | ||

Tracee's sister Rhonda looks a lot like Diana and can act as well. I wonder if Rhonda still auditions for stuff. She had a lot of momentum in her acting career before Tracee hit it big. | ||

I think Rhonda Ross would be a good choice, she is a jazz singer but i'm sure she could do the part justice. She sang a song to her mom on Oprah I believe and Diana cried. Also Essence Atkins from the show Half and Half, I think she looks like a young Diana, don't know if she can sing but she's got the looks. |
