The Associated Press has put out the word that the Montreal Expos will be relocating to Washington, D.C. for the start of the 2005 season. An official announcement from Major League Baseball is expected tomorrow. The team will play at R.F.K. Stadium, former home of the Washington Senators who left after the 1971 season and the football Redskins. R.F.K. Stadium can only accomodate about 30,000 people, so a new stadium is being planned, but may not open until the 2008 season. |

Even though I no longer follow baseball,it's going to be weird to call them the Washington Expos. I'm so use of knowing them as the Montreal Expos. |

They can't be called the "Senators", because The Texas Rangers Inc. owns the rights to that name. I agree that "Washington Expos" doesn't sound quite right. How about naming the team "The Washington Lying, Thieving, Money-Grubbing Politicians"? |
