Creating a new forum and linking it to the old one is a major task so we can expect this to drag on for a while yet....especially since Lowell has a rather vast workload outside of SD.

We do this in our spare time

Don't be sad guys, I kinda had a bit of difficulty registering too! I hope they do send my "key" to my username (bigdaddyg2k4-is that the username, right?) and my e-mail address (blackplanet.com-great site guys, check it out!) as soon as they get everybody online and running. I guess it's kinda like moving into a new house, sort of. Technology can be a pain in the butt sometimes, with all of the computer jargon, numbers and codes they (the SDF cybergeeks/webmasters) have to deal with.

Ok guys, someone's gotta help me out here.

I just tried to register again, I did everything right, checked it, and double checked it.
When I submitted it, a reply came back saying someone with my e-mail address is already registered !!!!!!

Yes......me, on the old forum, this forum!!!!.

No way I can change my e-mail address, so what happens now ? :-((

Can someone help out here please.
My e-mail address should be on your records somewhere, as I've entered it on my last 10 or so postings.

If you do not receive an activation email after 12 hours, email me LoBo@DetroitYES.com and I will manually activate your account. Be ~sure~ to tell me your username and please put the word "SoulfulDetroit" in the subject line so I can spot it easily amid my sea of spam.

Please double check to make sure that you have not received your activation email before requesting the manual activation. It will have the subject line, "Discussion board registration key" and be from SoulfulDetroit Registration.

Due to the flood of spam plaguing the internet, some mail servers may be blocking email generated from software programs and I suspect this may be the case for some.

Lowell, I'm pretty sure that your assessment is correct. Anytime someone posting here asks me to click on their name to e-mail them, my e-mail is returned as non-delivered. I think that's due to all of the viruses spread through Outlook,e safest method which isn't the safest method of e-mailing.
