wWhat's up Cornbread? I was 8 when his sermonizing hit And Black Is Beautiful came out on Mala. I finally found the 45 again in 1992 & it seems that few remember it. The flip was Faith Within & jugding from the Gospel backing from the ladies & his style, I always wondered if he was a Gospel singer. I haven't heard anything about him, but I thank you for mentioning him.

Now if I can locate some info about Bobby Hill, who made The Children in 1969. That was some song, with the same Gospel feel of Nickies hit, smoother & sweeter instrumentation.
