Hey Mike. Isn't Theresa Davis a cousin of the Hutchinson sisters (The Emotions)? I might be thinking of the singer Pamela (not sure what her last name is) that appeared on the Rejoice album but I know that they did have a cousin that was in the group at some point after the oldest sister Jeanette originally left.
Eli, you beat me to the punch about the lovely Miss Feather. LOL. The actress Jazsmin Lewis and young Latoya (why the hell did she have to get plastic sugery?!) are also easy on the eyes. Thanks for sharing Mike!
By dvdmike (68.253.180.58) on Sunday, April 04, 2004 - 11:24 am: |
Theresa is a cousin, Pamela is the younger sister of Sheila and Wanda. Meeting Jaszmin was a big thrill. She is even more beautiful in person than on the screen. Same for Crystal Keymah of "In Living Color" and "Cosby."

Hey Mike. I think that Theresa was an Emotion when they were still signed to Stax. In the picture, was this some sort of group that she was in with Bryon and Regina or was it just a one time performance?
I've also been enjoying Bernard Reed's work lately from the Curtis Mayfield/Mavis Staples A Piece Of The Action LP (in addition to the million other things he's played on). It's so cool to finally put a face with the name in the credits. Thanks again Mike!
P.S. If you have any pics of the lovely Miss Freda Payne please don't be bashful about sharing those as well! LOL.
By dvdmike (68.253.198.154) on Sunday, April 04, 2004 - 07:08 pm: |
I believe the photo with Theresa, Byron and Regina was when they were performing with Corky McClurkin. This was during a music festival at the South Shore Country Club (now the South Shore Cultural Center) at 71st and South Shore Drive in Chicago. No photos of Freda Payne, who is as beautiful today as she was during her "Band Of Gold" days.
By Rodmann (12.223.170.105) on Sunday, April 04, 2004 - 07:22 pm: |
OK. And you're so right about Freda Payne. She's still got it!
