Yes she has already recorded about half of a new album, but she's a bit stuck at the moment... she was hoping for some collaboration with Junie Morrison but he's quite a busy man.
So right now she's putting the final touch to her autobiography which she has been writing for the past three years... I have read some pages and let me tell you it's going to be the bomb!!!
Mind you she was discovered by Cynthia Robinson went straight on from her garage to Sly's band, then onto P-Funk, world fame as the Brides and then onto Gap Band... she has zillion of stories to tell...
Also I keep hoping that her fabulous performance at the North Sea Jazz Festival from July 2002 (taped by the Dutch label which released her album ALL MY FUNKY FRIENDS there) will surface on DVD, but as of yet no agreement has been reached... (Jeanette Washington from Parlet was also there on stage)

Thanks B ! I pretty much played to death All My Funky Friends. Glad she's working on new material. Good for her ! Oh yeah, I know her story very well.
