Anybody have info on the Debutantes on Solid Hit? One side is produced by Andre Williams. Is it hard to find?

Are you really sure there was a record by The DEBUTANTES on Solid Hit? If it exists, it must be 108, as THAT is the only number that I've never seen on any discography. Are you sure you don't mean Debonaires (Solid Hit 102 and 104)? Or might you mean Debutantes on the Standout label (a subsidiary of Golden World -or, at least distributed by them). Standout 601, "Strong Foundation"/"Shake A Tail Feather" by The Debutantes was a very rare record. Joe Hunter, Bruce Scott, Bob D'Orleans and Andre Williams were involved. "Strong Foundation" was published by Myto Music, thus a connection with Golden World. If this is the record you mean,- I would say it is extremely hard to find. If it is the Debonaires on Solid Hit you're referring to, they are even more difficult to find. But, aren't ANY non-charted soul records from the 1960s hard to find and obtain??? Perhaps the Standout record was distributed by Lebaron Taylor's Solid Hitbound Productions, rather than Golden World/Ric Tic, despite the Myto Music publishing (i.e. the song came from the earlier GW period. The ZTSC number of 12100 is from the transitional period, and so could have originated from either company.

Personally, I don't think either side is very good. I've had it for 39 years, and never taped it. Yet, I've tens of thousands of hours of music. If I don't tape a DETROIT record, that's a news story. "Strong Foundation" produced by Williams, was written by Al Hamilton (Kent) and Rich Morris -(further indicating Golden World, rather than Solid Hitbound).

I have to apologize, I did mean Standout. But thanks for the information. I think Shake A Tail Feather is pretty good.
