Greetings all,,,anyone remember Mickey Denton and the Rivieras.. They were the house band at continental Lanes in Roseville for years..Very hot show.

of course I remember this fine singer and his band. I stay in touch with Harry Balk, Mickey's long time producer. In fact Harry recently recorded Mickey's son. I have also been in touch with John Brooks, Mickey"s former manager.

Whew,another name out of our 60s Detroit bands that played the bar scene.You could count on opening the latest issue of "Panorama" and seeing a full page ad for Mickey Denton and the Rivieras playing somewhere in town.

PANORAMA!!! Man that was quite the magazine for the Detroit club scene. You're right. Micky always seemed to have the full page ads. Hey, he earned those ads.

Absolutely Lynn. I still have several Panorama clippings that I had in the Sunliner scrap book that I had put together years ago. ( we from the band refered to it reverantly as " The Book " . ) Unfortunately I rather severely ravaged the book to get pics for the Tera Shirma Story, so it's a mess. But the Panorama stuff is still there.
