Jennifer Holliday, Cheryl Lynn, Martha Wash, Jocelyn Brown and the list goes on and on! Any one of these woman could sing circles around ANYBODY but they just didn't look the part so they no promotion or support from record labels. I know that Miss Holiday has since slimmed down but by that time she wasn't a spring chicken anymore. I hate it just as much as you do but that's the truth!

By the way, my favorite Jennifer Holliday song is 'I Am Changing'. Amazing!

The last time I saw Jennifer Holliday, she was all bleached, chisled, and tucked real tight, and if you didn't know her, you would think she's altogeher a different person...sometimes when they get those nose jobs, they tend to sound very nasal...but I haven't heard her, so I can't say. Vandelron: As of last year, nothing had changed WRT Jennifer's temperament. She was the "name" performer at a private function (NMAC)...and was very aloof, cold, & "divaistic" and a disappointment to those that booked her. She sang her one song (to a track) and bailed early. My friend's 7 pc. group was to have appeared before Jennifer...but since she had to leave early, they appeared in the headliner slot and blew the crowd away... turning what was becoming a rather dismal night into the party it was intended to be.

First of all, if it's only makeup, that changed her features and her skin color, then I apologize, otherwise, she looked nothing like the first/original Jennifer Holliday. I didn't say she looked bad either. I have a few of her albums, and she looks totally different on all three.
Second of all, DON'T tell me what I see, when I see it,unless you're her make up artist...and if you're not her makeup artist, then may I suggest that you don't say anything else to me about what I see.

Jennifer Holliday is an awesome talent. Her "Feel My Soul" album produced by Maurice White was awesome. The Emotions provided the background vocals for that. I've heard countless stories about the temperament but I'd love for her to come back with a strong R&B recording.

If there were any alterations in her nose, it was altered in appearance only with contouring (makeup...without a nose job). I believe she lost over 200 lbs, so of course her face will change shape, too.

I think most people prefer anonymity online, but still shine in their daily lives. I know quite a few folks who post here or especially who lurk here who do not want to be identified. You'd be surprised if ya knew who was reading the posts. That's why I TRY to be as kind as I can be (I'm guilty of not always being successful at that). But I think we'd all be surprised if we knew that often real feelings get hurt when the people we write about are reading our posts.
