I have a 45 on MAINSTREAM by a band called PROPHECY...
It's a white label with the same track on both sides "Betcha Can't Guess My sign"...

Does anyone know anything about this band and if they did other records?

Wonder, The only other charted song that is listed is their first one: Whatever's Your Sign (Mainstream 5565) which charted R&B on May 17 1975. It peaked at # 74 & remained on the R&B chart for 5 weeks. Your 45 charted R&B on Aug 23 1975. It peaked at # 97 & remained on the charts for 3 weeks. The only info given is that the groups leaders were Bernie Taylor & Mack Wolfman.

by the way, my single is hot!!! LOL

It seems by the title of their two singles that they were a bit stuck lyrically wise!!! Or perhaps they became tarot readers!

Wonder, '75 was the days of mood rings, black satin zodiac posters (with optional black light) & everybody tried to show how deep they were by asking what someones sign was. I knew some brothers whose entire rap to the ladies was: "Hey baby, what's your sign". I guess that the were trying to crash in on the craze. I don't remember either single. Can anyone say reissue???

Yeah I know JUice... it's funny looking at the back of the record sleeves and see every name with it's zodiac sign in writing and more often than not in symbol too! Groovy man!!! LOL

I don't know though about any reissue of those tracks...
