It depends if you're talking about well known groups, with rare or very temporary personnel changes which makes for the rarity of the promo pics... or if you talk about pictures of groups that are themselves almost unknown... of course pictures of the latter are even harder to find, no matter what...
One other factor to be taken into account is the date... 60's pics are not easily found, but 50's pics... in good condition....
For example, and if I can take the price of the pics in relation to their rarity, about a month ago there was a Billy Ward & the Dominoes pic that went for $293, a Guitar Slim pic for $183, a wonderful Etta James close up for $105...
On the bargain side, a Hesitations pic for $48 or an Edsels for $48...
I have thousands of pics but I think they're harder and harder to come by, even on Ebay...
