Hi this is Kev-Lo you know most of us SD's grow up in the 50's,60's and 70's and there were famos theaters and clubs in and around our neiborhoods .These were the places that we got to see our favorite artists and we went to various clubs that we danced the night away and had a great time.In New York where I'm from we had the world's famos Apollo theater,The Brooklyn Fox theater,Manhattan center,The Audibon Ballroom,The St.George Hotel,The Hunts Point Palace,The Savoy,The Peppermint Lounge.So tell me SD's what were some famos theaters and clubs in your hometown that you went to. Don't want to burst your bubble but we covered this topic twice before in recent months, check the archives. I think I listed every Club & Theater in the New York Metropolitan area plus others on the east coast, from the Chitlin'Curcit to every relevant venue back in the day.

I was born and bred in NYC and NEVER been to the Apollo...one of my dreams is to visit there. I actually wondered how the 20 Grand in Detroit was and if it is still there...I heard that was another happenin' place besides the Regal and the Uptown.
