Hi everyone,

Forwarding the URL for a nice site on the California Hispanic soul scene. I think our own Weldon McDougal is mentioned somewhere in there!

Hi Eva;
Good research! I have some of those type compilations released in the mid-90's, there are some good songs on them with some from great producers like Joe Evans (Carnival label) and Gorge Kerr who produced alot of New Jersey Artists.
Thanks,
S.S.

The folks at Thump Records also have a reissue series devoted to the "Low Rider" oldies scene which is quite good. Here's their URL:

Another fine label with a great reissue series pertaining to this genre is ITP Records. This company is responsible for the "Underground Oldies" series (that's where I found Timothy Wilson's "Baby Baby Please" and "I Know The Inside Story" by Chubby & the Turnpikes/Tavares).
