Isaih & Lady Mystique:
Sorry I wasn't around when this was initially posted - love & romance called me away Friday & Monday.

Full Force produced some fine music during their career. When I was a club/radio DJ in the 1980s I loved their work with Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam ("I Wonder If I Take You Home" still gets mad play from my 45 and 12"!!)as well as their own albums ("Guess Who's Coming To The Crib", "Full Force Gets Busy One Time!").

Full Force released a great CD on Capitol Records in 1992 called "Don't Sleep" . This disc reminded folks just who were the original "sample kings" in the music biz and had some catchy tunes. The single "Quickie" was about....well, you get the picture whereas the rest of the disc had several guest stars (it even featured a "simultated" Lee Bailey Radioscope cut announcing the group's return!). My favorite track on "Don't Sleep" is a duet they cut with Bobby Byrd called "Ain't It Great To Be Black." Isaiah, you would have appreciated this tune because it deals with how folks of color have gone through hell on earth for years until society realizes that our contributions were something else. The chorus went like this...
"After all this time of funkin' up our minds,
ain't it great to be Black"
Bobby Byrd sang the title, making the song sound like a JB tune. Sadly, this CD is out of print so if you see it being offered on the internet, buy it.

The Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears should kiss the ground these guys walked on - Full Force produced music tracks for both acts during the late 1990s.

Hey Isaiah, you and Lady are not the only Full Force fans here. I loved UTFOs Roxanne Roxanne. I also loved all of the songs that they produced for Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam. Not to mention their collabo with The Godfather. Static was one funky jam. These brothers also made some great ballads & I thought that their appearances in House Party was hilarious. A lot of people didn't realize that they produced cuts for The Backstreet Boys. These brothers deserve props, along with Kashif, they put Brooklyn music back into the Top 10 in the 80s & early 90s. Good work Isaiah!

Peace
Juice

Juice, I was only joking, brother(smile!) I know that as D.J.'s, you and KevGo would definitely like this group... What's interesting is that they might be more famous because of those Kid N Play movies of the '90's, than because of their work in the music industry... There I go again(smile!)

Peace!
Isaiah

Yeah...and Britney and Backstreet Boys don't even give them their props. :(

But, LadyM, did you expect them to do the right thing? I sure didn't. Isaiah, I fear that your assessment is most correct.

Full Force's "Unselfish Lover" is a heck of a song
where Bolegged Lou talks about a girl name Alice in a monologue towards the end of song. UTFO's "Tender Love" was a heck of a song too. And of course, Lisa Lisa & Cult Jams lp's we're worth money spent. R&B/Hip Hop before with a twist of House, before it was term New Jack Swing and Hip Hop Soul?
