....what the hell?!...who hit me up side my head?!
What happened?!, Oh my damn!... How did I get in this hospital bed?!

All jokes aside, I must tell you that is what it felt like for me for a brief moment folks, but I will explain in a few. I am home now back to better food and my mother spoiling me to death. I Love it. :-)

I want to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU A Million TO ONE times to all of you on SDF who 'well-wished' and prayed my strength back to baseline good health...along with my family and close friends and the African Witch Doctor and Indian Medicine man that I summonsed to my bedside...:-)
Dang! There I go again with the humor...

I must say that I am DEEPLY humbled by the response that I received by all of you. I am not one to take anything for granted, and take what I feel is real to heart..and this was real. A family member printed this out for me and I must say I was floored.
First and foremost I have to say to Mike Boone 'you'll never know what you mean to me', and I cannot thank you enough for your support and prayers. 'Onward and Upward Chancellor' :-)

The same way each of you responded,I will take a moment to return my gratitude

Medusa: hanging in girl...my specialty. Thank You.

Soul Sister: Prayer appreciated, needed and accepted. Thank You for the welcome.

JuiceFree20: Did you make the Dells event? I told Mike to look out for you. Sorry, my body had other plans...lol...but thank you for your wishing. I got your messages from Mike.

Sis Detroit: Thank You!

Ralph: Unfortunately it was a serious emergency and I am not quite out of the woods yet....but the Devil is a liar. "God has other plans'...thank you for your well wishing.

Linda Di: Needed that hug. Felt it when you wrote it. :-) Thank You!

Vonnie: Thank You girlfriend. Unlimited prayers accepted. ;-) Thank You for your thoughts of me!

BankHouseDave: thank You!

Helene: Thank You! Girl! You cant keep a good music person down...you know I had my sounds with me...made my Mom bring it to me! No cable TV in that joint either?
The scenario:
R: Uh...I need some Motown or something...Eddie Kendrick...somebody...no cable up in this piece either!? Looka here Mom, swing by my house and pick up the whole second row in the cd case that is marked Rare Soul, Motown and MFSB...and the STAX Atlantic Box set. Lets get this party started , right! :-) "MUSIC IS THE HEALING FORCE OF THE WORLD"! (right Bobby Eli?):-)

David Meilke: Read the above statement. LOL. But Thank You!

Isaiah: I felt your vibes 'bruh'...lol...thank you. and that Joe Baatan 'I Wish You Love' was on my rare soul collection ironically...
bad jam. It kept me warm, thanks!

Tony Drake: Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!! Its "Pretty Tony 'is what they call him' Drake"... lol...ok, Im sorry that is my humor again. I am honored, thank you. 'Let's Play House' was on my head phones...you know the Chancellor hooked me up and made sure he represented having your classic-soul masterpiece on the cd...thanks for your caring thoughts and words. I look forward to meeting you.

Wonder B: ThankYou!

Edgar: Thank You. Nice to be thought of. :-)

Nosey: Girl...Lunch. That is all I can say. I cracked up when I read your comment. I can see it now..'Get Christie Love and Foxy Brown' on the case of FT....lol...! Thank You for your warm thoughts!

Common: Thank You for your well wishing!

Don: Thank You!

Kev Go: Thank You Kev...I was looking for an analogy from you...lol...Im hanging, thanks!

Stephanie: Thank You, sweet of you to think of me.:-)

Moanman: Thank You for your thoughts...and your sentiment, very sweet of you. I should be back in the swing of things shortly...prayers always accepted and exorcisms are allowed...lol...

bigdaddyg24: Thank You ...prayers changes things!

JuiceFree20: ....didn't I say thank you to you already? LOL. Well here's a double dose....some men just cant get enough!...lol... Thank You. I feel the energy. :-)

KevLo: My mellow my man. 'This Killed The Spirit'. LOL. Definetly an unexpected and unwanted thrill. We will talk soon. Thanks to you and I hope you had a decent time the other night at the Dells event.

Dinelle: Thank You!

Destruction: I 'willerer'..lol...Thank You!

Mark Speck: Thank You kind sir!

NYCDIVA: Girl, Dyva's/Diva's need love, health and strength too! LOL. Thank you for your well
wishing!

Jrlo: I need that blessing right about now...thank you!

In closing I must add a few hospital moments...

The woman next to me died after my first night and a half of being there...I got up out the bed, got my hat, coat, scarf and my three bags and boots and in my hosptal gown and underwear...'I was going home'. It took the nurses 2 hours to 'pry' me out of the lounge. 'La Dyva' does not play that ...

I was singing while laying in the bed one day and I had a Japanese nurse who thought it was Showtime at the Apollo, bringing in the other nurses tto hear me sing...
...the same nurse began to notice the brusing on my arm from all the needles stuck in me and blood samples drawn out of me and states 'hey Billie Holiday...hahaha...you bruise easy!'... so much for the hired help...

My mom cooked for me and bought it in...and the nurses and doctors started making orders...(you cant make this stuff up...)

I had so may heart leads on me....everytime one came off, 4 nurses would show up at the bed screaming my name 'scaring' me out of my sleep...
...so after the third time being the charm I decided to see what effect a cellphone really had on a heart monitor....lol...

But to God be the glory. I am still recuperating from an unknown attack, from which I am still being tested and still X rayed and EKG'ed and MRI'ed to the finish...I am grateful however to be home and write all of this to you, I was so desperate to get near a computer that when the techinician came with the EKG machine and I saw it had a monitor, I asked 'Is this hooked to the internet?'

Thank You, again to all of you and keep me in your prayers..and here is to negative results...

Ill be in and out of the forum for now...but I will check in asap.

PS: I do however have some health tips I want to pass on to the women of SDF...email me at TheNayeski@aol.com.

Grace Mercy and Peace be with all of you,
from me

Hey there 'Ralphie boy'...lol...
It was not my fault! Im Sorry! It was unexpected and trust me a shock to the system. I am not totally out of the woods yet...I have been ordered under 'home arrest' for 2 more weeks by my doctor...which is kinda ok, but Id enjoy it better if I could join my kid in Florida at her apartment. LOL. I thank you again, however.

Dinelle: Ok! Ok! LOL.... Thanks! ;-)

Hey Dyva, I knew you'd be back soon. Take care of yourself and follow the Doctors instructions, take your prescribed Meds as directed, keep all appointments and follow ups...drink lots of fluids(especially distilled water), eat lots of Fruits & Veggies, get plenty of TLC & R&R.
Again, it's good to see you are at home and doing well...

Hi DyvaNaye,

Thank you so much for your message, and I'm glad that you're up and about again. I pray that you'll be out of the woods soon.

I liked the reference to the witch doctor. My father is Polish, and lost his voice for 3 months when he was 13 years old, in 1939. His father put him on the back of the horse and cart, and rode to the witch doctor in the next village - a journey of about 3 days, I'm told.

The witch doctor taped a dead trout to my father's neck, and gave my grandfather instructions not to remove it until my father's voice had returned.

When they were almost home again, my grandfather heard my father making small noises from inside the blankets on the back of the cart. Giving thanks that the remedy had worked, he hugged my father close to him.

My father, on the other hand, maintains that the only reason he started to talk again was to tell his father to REMOVE THE FISH AS IT WAS BEGINNING TO STINK, and he couldn't bear it stuck to his throat for one more moment.

This is a true story. Whether or not the witch doctor was the traditional type I don't know. It maybe that the title was the closest translation from Polish into English that my father could think of.

I do hope that your treatment was more of the usual type.

God bless you.
