Woooooow, "Zeke" (The Freak) (by Isaac Hayes)!!!

Seriously, Isaiah, friend, you know me better than my mother (smile!). I likes a lot the multi-talented Frank Brunson and thinks he deserves much more recognition.

Recently, i find this same website (i believed that not have interest in SDF!). Jerry Lee Lewis have a cover of one of his tunes!!

It's funny that he tolds about the green bottoms (i think is refering to the pick in the "Movin' In All Directions" 45 sleeve, that i give to a friend when acquired the album). Also the picture in the back cover of "Boogie Down USA" (tuxedos with letters!) is more P-Funk than many other with this same pretension.

One of my all time indispensables are "The Big Hurt" (side B of "Di It Anyway You Wanna" that don't appears in albums), "Don't Send Me Away" and all the B side of the album "We Got The Rythm". Also i think the extraordinarie piano in "Mikey d's" (from the album "Boogie Down USA") is played by Frank. With this voice and this virtuosism as composer and piano player i don't understand how never was a number one soul act.

This forum is a constant source of good things and emotive trheads!

Peace & Soul Food To All!

What about the different line-ups in People's Choice?

In all their i knows albums have personnel changes.

I have two singles in Phil LA Of Soul where don't mentioned the names of the members. In the pictures of the sleeves I only can recognise Frankie Brunson and David Thompson. (The cover photo in both singles is the same and very funny, the members of the group are dressed with camouflage military bottons and with ornaments by the peace symbol!, military-pacifists!).

In the "Boogie Down USA" album (PIR, 1975), the line-up is Frankie Brunson lead vocals and keyboards, David Thompson percussion, Guy Fiske guitar and Roger Andrews bass.

In the "We Got The Rythm" album (TSOP, 1976) are Frank Brunson lead vocals and keyboards, David Thompson percussion, Roger Andrews bass, Guy Fiske guitar, Darnell Jordan ryhtmic guitar and Donald Ford keyboards.

In the next album, "Turn Me Loose" (PIR, 1978) are Frank Brunson lead vocals and keyboards, David Thompson percussion, Darnell Jordan and Roland Chambers guitars, Stanley Thomas bass and Valerie Brown female lead voice.

In the People's Choice selftitled album in Casablanca records (1980), the line-up are Frank Brunson lead vocals and keyboards, David Thompson percussion, Stanley Thomas bass, Roland Chambers, Ronald White, Ron Jennings guitars, Dexter Wansel and Artis Gamble synthesizer.

Peace & Soul Food!
