Hi Cornbread,
I don't know what's up with Freddie North, but I think he retired from the record business quite a long time ago.
I really liked his "(Don't Take Her) She's All I Got" as well as his take on the old country number "Lovin' On Backstreets". "She's All I Got" went on to become a great hit for Johnny Paycheck in 1971 and Tracy Byrd in 1996.
I'll throw in a link with an interview with North's songwriter and producer Jerry Williams a.k.a Swamp Dogg:

hey Mel: Thanks for the info on the early recording of Freddie.
Hi Eva: That article on Jerry Williams gave more than a few chuckles. Swamp Dogg sure tells it like it is.
Peace: Cornbread
