Could anybody supply any shows/concerts/gigs that would be worth seeing while we are in Detroit between 13 july and 18 july. To attend something at the Roostertail or Fox theatre would be amazing

Hi Harry,

I had the pleasure of meeting you David and Carl at the Cass Cafe event in May of last year.
You were kind enough to let me record off the house mixer that night. Great fun !!

The Fox theater usually sells all their event tickets through ticketmaster: http://www.ticketmaster.com
also see:

Be sure to check events at the Music Hall http://www.musichall.org/ and Detroit Opera house http://www.motopera.org/

For everything happening in Detroit go to the Metro Times at: http://www.metrotimes.com/

Hopefully Lowell and David can setup another club night like last year !!

Cheers !!

Leo

Medusa - You are aways sending people to me. :o) I think Harry wants to go to the Fox and the Roostertail because of Motown's history with them. They are special places that became history because of Motown.

I'm sure Harry has seen more studios than I have here in Detroit, or at least that I paid attention to. I'm hoping that there will be a concert, with soul, at the Fox during that time. But, as far as an interesting event being held at the Roostertail, you should keep looking at the announcments at the Motown Museum website.

Keep a check on Spyder Turner's website and keep a check on his Concert Schedule... http://www.spyderturner.com
He's got a busy schedule developing. Chances are good that he'll have a huge show sometime in that time frame.

CeePea it has been one of my hopes that I will see/meet Spyder in July.

That would be fantastic.
