You may want to ask Reg Bartlette. He's the guy who wrote the impressive 'Motown by Master Number' book.
He has posted on this forum a few times.
Cheers

Hi all, I checked out the Tamla web site listed above and found this listed on it:
"Tamla 54024 A
Chico Leverette Solid Sender Jun-59
First Tamla issue on the 54000 series. Berry Gordy's song on Jackie Wilson, "Reet Petite", was released on Brunswick 55024.
That is why the first issue start with this strange number.
Tamla 54024 B
Chico Leverette I'll Never Love Again Jun-59
Two different records issued on same number.
Tamla 54024 A
Swinging Tigers Snake Walk - Part 1 Jun-59
Tamla 54024 B
Swinging Tigers Snake Walk - Part 2 Jun-59
Pressed in very limited quantities for distribution in the Detroit area."
This is the first time I knew that Chico's song was on the same label number as another group/song. I couldn't even find a listing for the Swinging Tigers Snake Walk in the "Off the Record" discography that I have (unless I missed it somewhere). I would LOVE to see a copy of that 45 - Swinging Tigers - Snake Walk. Would one of you very helpful and knowledgable folk here PLEASE post a picture of this record!!! Is this a vocal group or a band? Does anyone have an RA file of it? If so, would be so appreciative if I could hear it (please send to Dowoplady@aol.com)! I can't find this group or listing in any other discography that I have. Any help in any way would be appreciated. Chico, did you know that your Solid Sender shared the # with someone else?????!!!!!
In harmony,
Nikki

An RA file is a piece of new (retro) technology which enables webmasters to offer downloads of music files in a format which sounds like Radio Luxembourg. ;o)

Thank you Ritchie....but I am still none the wiser!!
I shall just have to accept that I am a thicko.
I shall go back to playing my "CD" or maybe dig out a "TMG" and play it on a "HMV" player

I'm sorry to have caused confusion with my RA request regarding the Swinging Tigers on Tamla. If you have it on a CD, please give me the NAME of the CD, so I can go out and purchase it (and then I can hear the song)! Also I am looking for INFORMATION on this particular artist/group! Any help would be appreciated. Thanx again. Nikki
