I've recently bought the "big hits and hard to find classics vol 4 " cd and track 7 is brilliant> " cos you know me" by rick robin and him> an artist i've never really heard of before; i really like this track and cant understand why its never surfaced before in the uk. Has anyone out there any more on the artist.
Thanks.

Hi Mark,
Rick was Rick Witte who also wrote the Velvelettes
"Ain't No Place Like Motown" (from the Cellarful
of Motown CD)
I don't know who else was involved.
I've been wanting to hear their VIP single for years and am impatiently waiting for "Big Hits ..
VOL. 4" to turn up in Glasgow's record stores

Thank you Davie...
I suppose it's "Cause You Know Me" that you didn't miss the opportunity to mention YOU KNOW WHO....
I can see that when I go on vacation, this list will be in good hands!!!

John,
I know you get withdrawal symptoms if you don't see the Velvelettes' name at least once a day so glad to
oblige.
Don't worry we'll keep the fire burning in your
temporary absence

There was a Rick & Robin record too that was a folk-rock thing.
