Notice BOBBY ELI 2 at the top. It can be viewed for past reference. Lowell made me awar of this function and once I get better at it I'll do it with all topics that have multiple threads. By the way Bobby...I always thought Lucy was a major babe.

Bobby, I didn't realize that there were so many versions of "Love Won't Let Me Wait". On a drive to Boston I heard a great version by Nancy Wilson (on one of those Music Of Your Life stations). Then on the way back to NY I heard a super bleached-White version by The Johnny Mann Singers or someone like them. I liked both, for different reasons.. Anyway, it's a great tune.

Thanks Marshall for the compliment. That elevator version by The Mann singers really blew my mind. It was watered down(they took out the moans)hey who cares the check was in the mail.

Daren/Drums: Pictures are very easy to post. I read the instructions under "How To Get Fancy" at the bottom of the colume at the left side of the our web page. It was very simple. Basically, you need to create a "picture.jpg" file with your scanner. Once you have this file, and you know where it is in the folders in your file cabinet (Microsoft Windows, wise: Not your email file cabinet), you are ready to follow very simple instructions to post your image.

I hope that this helps.

Good to see you. where have you been keeping yourself lately? We missed you.

Ralph,

My partner at work went on a three week vacation, while at the same time, a huge increase in work activity (lots of new cartoons for Warner Bros.) has caused a massive increase in work to get done.

I have been working fourteen hour days six plus days a week. I am all tired out, and have almost gone on a Ralph-style "tirade" a couple of times.

Tirade: A cooling drink made out of old automoble tires.

My partner will be back on the job next Monday (June 24), and things will be almost back to normal, even though I will be working full time from now on.

I am eager to go back to the classic mode of answering the letters in the order received. Thank you for your kindness.

Mike,
Sorry to hear you're over-worked. My advice though...stay away from the Ralph style tirades. Really not very good for one's health. Well...maybe mine though...I always felt so much better after I really lost it.
At any rate, we look forward to your return with all those gems you bestow upon us Mike.
Your friend,
Ralph

Dear Drums,

Good for you! I see that you gave it a try. The first time I tried it, I had problems just like you did. I reread the instructions and soon I was cooking. Tip: That name that they suggest that you assign is optional (not required.) It is only for your reference in case you are posting a lot of pictures, and you need it to help you keep track of which is which, while you are reviewing your text message and possibly revising it.

Keep trying,

Mike McLean

Dear Drums,

I am going to go through the process and post an image to refresh myself regarding the exact procedure. Then I will follow up with a posting that will solve your difficulties.

Here is my image:

It didn't work. I was not prompted for an image file to upload, as the instructions said.

I will try again.

Here is how my text looked:

Here is the picture:

Some like it hot.

I THEN CLICKED ON "PREVIEW/POST."

A BOX APPEARED THAT SUGGESTED THAT IF I CLICKED ON "POST THIS MESSAGE" I WOULD BE PROMPTED TO ENTER THE COMPLETE FILE ADDRESS ON MY WINDOWS HARD DRIVE FILE CABINET.

YOU CAN TYPE IN THE FULL DOS FILE NAME, IF YOU CAN REMEMBER IT, BUT THE KEY IS TO USE THE BROWSE BUTTON TO THE RIGHT OF THE WINDOW TO GO TO THE JPG IMAGE THAT YOU WANT TO POST. THIS IS EXACTLY LIKE USING WINDOWS EXPLORER.

THE USE OF THE BROWSE BUTTON WILL AUTOMATICALLY ASSURE THAT YOU GET EXACTLY THE CORRECT FILE ADDRESS.

LOVE,

MIKIE

Ralph,

I need to work about seven hours, the day after tomorrow (Sunday), to clear off the work bench for my partner. After that, I will be working normal hours, from 3:00 PM until 11:30 PM, Pacific Standard Time, five days per week. This should give me some time to get back in harness at the forum.

Only on the Forum, can one become so innocently obsessed that he (Not she: they know better!) can stick his mind where the sun don't shine until he beholds the view that he sees when he shaves.

And love every minute of it!

As you can see above, I am trying to get serious about my dignified, honored position, at the forum.

I warn you all, I have deep feelings of guilt. These feelings color everything that I say. Let me show you what I mean:

What a nice day!

Oh! How delightful to meet a lovely young lady from a fine background. Let me make you a CD of my impressions of you.

I put together an intense collection of my favorite music, with romantic implications, and present it to her with total properness.

I always get some kind of warm comment, and once in a while, I get a great response. Helen was an example.

By the way: I discovered that in 1915, when my dear late Helen was born, the first traffic light signal ever installed in the United States of America was installed in Detroit, Michigan, my home town, At the corner of Woodward Avenue and Grand Avenue.

Ralph told me so.

Love you all!

Little Mikie

Eli:

Where is that buck fifty six?

Did you ever hear the Mabel John Tamla record "Action Speaks Louder Then Words"?

This was one of Berry Gordy's most basic charicter traits!

Speak softly and carry a big plan! That was the way of Berry Gordy Junior!

Same with me.

And another thing too! Did you know that I was in
Cincinatti, Ohio, and saw the Contours sing in 1961, "You'r A Whole Lot of Woman"?

Billy Hoggs sang lead.

Billy Gordon sang the gravel voiced narrator.

It was at an old vaudville/movie theatre. I was blown away. Pete Walsh drove down in his 1959 Thunderbird. We reached speeds of 120 miles per hour.

I gotta go. Love you all. I will be back to try to tell the story that you want to hear.
