God, I remember that one.. "Roly Poly Mickey Lolich.. The Tigers won the series.." Is that it? That would make a good thread on this board; R&B records about Detroit, made in Detroit. I recently got a copy of "I Care About Detroit" by Smokey and The Miracles. Really beautiful, and sad, all things considered..

All of the local Detroiter will remember the Artie Field's single and radio play hit "GO GET EM TIGERS." He says he produced it in a single day for the 68 world series. Disney licensed it and used it in the film "Tiger Town" but never fully paid him for the use he says. That's the music business.
