Not by the Elgins.

There is a version on the Temptations on US Gordy 7010 - issued in October 1962 with "Slow Down Heart"

There is a fake Elgins in Philly with no original members at all. In fact one of them, Virgil Ginyard has actually appeared on the NBC local morning news describing his experiences and times on the road on the Motown tours!!"
I wanted to ring up the station and let the truth be known, but the nice guy that I am wouldn't let me do it, but the "cynical Brit" alter ego of mine sure wanted to!!!!
The bit was live and I could have gone to the station , as it is very close to where I live and I would have been there in five minutes.
The nerve of him, and he is still getting away with by doing gigs and even had a cd called "The Elgins Sing" or some crap like that.

Carl, they are caddy corner across the street on the Bala Cynwyd side. The one you speak of is the ABC affilliat, wpvi where as the NBC one is wcau.
