I see that Kris had a few 45s on a label called Stormy Forest. Can anyone tell me something about these songs and this record company? Was it based in Detroit?
Thanks,
Graham

Hi Graham! I should have answers to your questions shortly. DetroitGal is in touch with Kris, and we're all supposed to get together on the 15th at the Clawson (really makes you wanna be here, huh?)! I honestly don't think Stormy Forest was based in Detroit, however, I can't say for sure. I know Kris did some recording for Johnny Rivers, so maybe that was his label. Give me a few days and I'll be back witcha!

Thanks Mille.
I'll just have to wait until September to go to the Clawson. Only 4 months to go.

Graham; I don't know if this is the same label , but Stormy Forest was Richie Havens' custom label circa 1970 , distributed by MGM. The one Havens lp I have on that label just says "Stormy Forest Records distributed by MGM"
