Eli Here.
I would like to give Bunny Sigler his own thread as he will be coming back on soon via my influence.
He has quite a story to tell as well!!
We have known one another for as long as I can remember back to when he was known as Mr. Emotion, on the Craig label and a member of the Opals.

Bunny - I have the most haunting of records you recorded called 'Where do the lonely go' on Neptune. I bought it in about 1974. The minute I played it, it touched a lonely nerve in my heart. I know I have mentioned this before on the forum and tend to repeat myself. That Neptune sound was unique and all their stuff I have is different. It really does have strong memories for me from my late teen days, times when I just danced the night away and there were little troubles in my teenage world. Anytime you want to see a repeat of my face when I first heard it let me know and I will catch the next plane to Philly! I look forward to the stories..
Cheers

I really rate and love Bunny's Decca 45's from '65/'66, especially "For crying out loud" and "Comparatively speaking" - both corking NS dance tracks! I'd love to hear any stories about recording those, Bunny! :-)

Hey Ralph,
Bunny's real name is Walter Siger. He uses Bundino Sigalucci as an alter ego of sorts.
Carl,
The reason the Neptune records were unique was that Sigma was still using that live echo chamber
at around 3 secondswith a 110ms pre-delay and the tape delay and still 16 track with a valve desk( the heat it projected was great in wintertime!!) Neptune ceased to exist in early 1971 when PIR was born and in 1972 it was 24 track with a solid state desk although I preferred the old valve one!!

I spoke to Bundino today and he is fine and sends his best. When I get home at the end of the week I will go to his house which is walking distance from mine and get him on. We are gonna hook up and create some more hits!!!
By the way, his late brother Benny was an accomplished singer and recording artist and can be heard on the Jamie/Guyden Northern cd, and brother Jimmy is an accomplished organist and songwriter.
Reach back to when Bunny was in the Four Opals. I will send a j peg when I return!!

Also Bobby, the musical arrangements had that pre-Philly sound that was the forerunner to the early seventies stuff. I think the echo, arrangements and the pressed record plastic quality make it have a unique sound. I would also stick my neck out and say that when I bought imports they never had a middle and occasionally the stamped middle was off centre. The 'wow and flutter', if that is the correct term, it caused was as important as the song sometimes, something like Radio Luxembourg on AM disappearing into the ionosphere and returning to blow your ears out. I find it a shock sometimes to hear a song like this 25 years later in CD quality, even though it is better. My Bunny Sigler/Where do the lonely go? was worn out when I got it. I need to pay my respects and update soonest.

Thanks for clearing up a little mystery for me, Bobby. I thought that all the people looking for the Benny Sigler 45 on Phil-L.A. of Soul meant to say Bunny. Until I read your last post, I had no idea that Bunny had a brother in the biz as well.
Best,
Mark

Hi Mark,
Yes Benny Sigler had some other singles on other labels as well. Unfortunately he is no longer with us. He was just as talented as Bunny!!

It is great to be remembered and I appreciate all of the people who care and write. I am currently in the studio with engineer/producer, David Ivory, "Roots/Erykah Badu/Kindred, etc." The tracks are old soul with modern production. Were taking neo-soul to another level. Lou Rawls Patti Labelle and Eddie Levert, (Ojays), among others, have expressed interest in doing duets with me. I must admit, Im flattered with all of the support I am getting. What started as a small project is growing in size. I am looking for more help and support, at all levels. If interested, please contact David Ivory at www.ivoryproductions.com. Or (215)-591-9900.
Peace

Mr. "Sigalucci" (always loved that name !!)....I always dug your PIR output, but in recently going thru some of my Classic Wax pulled out "South Shore Commission" & just noticed that you wrote or co/wrote along with Ron Tyson or Phil Hurt all of their best selling material. Daaaaamn !! Keep it goin' Bro. !

Hi Bunny! Gotta tell you I LOVE your Parkway stuff--have multiple copies of "Let the Good Times Roll"!
I also love "Follow Your Heart" and "Girl Don't Make Me Wait". Every time I listen to "Follow Your Heart" I'm reminded of my visit to Toronto for the 2000 Northern Soul weekender. We chartered a boat to circle Lake Ontario and a few of the DJs spun tunes. I requested "FYH" and danced to it on the deck of the boat. Unfortunately, I couldn't keep my footing--quite hilariously--as the boat was rocking from side to side and my shoe soles were wet from spilled beer. I was sliding all over the place like a pinball, much to the laughter of those around me!
And the whole thing was caught on tape, which I still have to get a copy of!
Thanks for all the great music, Kind Sir!
Best,
Mark

I hope you have a copy of the Parkway album too Mark as you can really see into how great those productions were on a decent system. As you know Mark I'm usually a 45 fiend like yourself but tracks like "girl don't make me wait" take on a new life. Tremendous stuff and thanks Bunny. When I got into this soul madness 35 years ago Bunny was just a mystical name on a very in demand UK Cameo Parkway label and now here we are. Scary.
