In keen anticipation of Freddie Gorman's visit to the UK in a couple of weeks to front The Originals, I decided to play a few things by him and realised that the clanking of chains and other effects at Motown were not new. On Freddie's `Take Me back` on Ric Tic there is a really cool (non instrument??) noise. I had a quick think & play of a few other odd-ball things eg `G'wan`, `All Turned On` etc but nothing. (By the way the guitar on this last track by Bob Wilson is great, shades of Travis Wammack's `Scratchy`). Has anyone got any other Detroit recordings with sound effects? Keith
