Here's a group that deserves a little respect. Recorded by Harry Balk, this is one of the very first bands to have hit records in the 1950's. I was forunate to play with the Hurricanes for a short while in the early 70's. I have sent Johnny a e-mail inviting him to ths forum. I hope to see him here.

Wow, I haven't heard about Johnny and the Hurricanes since I was little. My Grandfather gave me their record with Revele Rock on it around 1970. I loved them, I thought they were great, I'd play that record over and over until I drove my parents insane.

I have a CD of all their hits, and when my daughter was little, she used to like "Rocking Goose" - but could never remember its name. Instead, she'd ask me to play "the Mad Ostrich"
