Andy-
Glad you decided to join us! I hope you'll go to some of the get-togethers too. They should be a lot of fun.

Hi Andy!

The only Valadier I knew was Stu Avig, and I've known him since high school. He was one of the Latin Counts for a long time, however, he's no longer with them and I'm not sure what he's up to...selling jewelry or something like that. Anyway, you and I have met several times at various radio station promotions (I worked for Kiss-fm when it was an oldies station), and if you saw me you'd know who I am! Good to see you on the site...take some time and go through the Forum...you'll see a million names from your past! George Katsakis is playing at the Clawson Inn and a few of us go up there on the weekends...so, if you're not busy, you're welcome to join us!

Hi Andy! Please say hello to Stu for me...he was my boyfriend when I was 15!!! Anyway, it's good to see you on the site and I'm happy to hear you guys are back together...as the Royal Jokers!!! I was just listening to "You Tickle Me Baby" this afternoon!!! Remember Noah and his lovely wife Chelsea? Raymond, Billy, Stan...sure miss those guys! Come visit Saturday night at the Clawson Inn if you're not doing anything. If not then, we'll all be there on the 18th when Steve Fischer comes to town (he used to play sax with the Sunliners)!

Andy, Please forgive my ignorance regarding your musical career. It seems that you've been singing for a while; what groups have you been in and during which years? You mention Hershal Hunter - I'm sure he sang with The Tempos and some other groups. Do you know James Davis too?

Hi Graham, just a quick bio:The Grenadiers 55-58
The Latin Counts 58-60/the Martiniques60-63/The Act IV 65-67/ a few good bands in between then in 1980 the Latin Counts to present. I also sing with other groups the Royal Jokers 97- present the Originals with CP Spencer 00-01. And any one else that can use me. Yes I do know J.D. very well.
I know and have sung with some very good singers and very few could sing three part harmony Tenor/ Baritone/ and Bass and I'm talkin any part
Like Hershel Hunter. Thanks Andy

Andy - That's a very impressive bio'.
Hershall's brother Ty also had a tremendous voice - one of my favorites in fact.

I thought the Latin Counts and Royal Jokers were old Detroit street gangs? (I have a rap group I'm working on named atfer one of those old gangs.)

Hi Julian, There was a gang called The Latin Counts in the early 90s thats why we changed our name to the Valadiers because of bad press, now we use both.
