karl sends in these 2 great pics of the royaltones and the kameos
k1
k2
he then says :-
The Kameos, was a band that I started after leaving the Royaltones. The Kameos were one of the popular club bands of the era, and we were around for a long time. The group comprised of Karl Kay, (Guitar) Bob Gurski (Drums) Alex Coburn (Sax) Danny Ryder(Sewesky) (Bass).

Alex Coburn was the showman of the Band, he would play the Sax strutting along the top of the bar, and leading a huge string of dancers out the front door, around the corner, and in the rear door back, to the dance floor of "Moreys Royal Twist Lounge". Subsequent members of the Kameos included Eddy Adams (Drums), Wally Oshinski (Sax), Ron Orzel (Keyboards)., and Little Joe Morenza (on Bass).

Fans still remember the Kameos form one of the areas hot spots, "The Embassy Hotel" in Windsor Ontario Canada. Danny Ryder, recently bumped into one of the old Embassy fans, the old times are still remembered warmly about the great 4 month gig at the old Embassy Hotel.

Hi George, I am planning on being there I only wish I didn`t get rid of my axe so I could join you guys. Hopefully I can get there soon. I want to post a picture of "Terry and the Topics" but don`t have the capabilties to do so. Do you remember that gig in Port Huron when I was Dan Electro and Karl and I composed a song while you were gaving sax lessons to a fan?
