Just a quick question.
Does anyone know what happened to the Motown Master Series of CD's? After some top notch releases during the early & middle 90's the name & compilations seemed to dissapear.
I know the latest box sets and reissuses are up to the same exacting standards (some may say better) but I was just wondering why the series was discontinued.
Cheers
Paul

I heard there is a US cd of very collectable Supremes tracks. Does anyone know of it and of any particularly interesting tracks?

The 'Motown Master' series continues in spirit, just not with that logo and name.

Thanks Harry for your input.
Gotta ask this though. What was the reason for the name being dropped?
Just curious!
Anyway thanks for your efforts over the years in giving the Motown back catologue the treatment it deserves and long may it continue.
Btw when is the next version of Motown Sings Motown treasures due for release?
Thanks
Paul

Paul - you may recall there was a corporate merger a few years ago. The catalog departments were re-arranged and some things went away, some stayed, etc.
Until we see another volume of Motown Treasures, look for the UK release in June of 'Cellarful of Motown': 40 unreleased and rare cuts.
And BTW, thanks.

Harry
You don't have to tell us to look out for Cellarful... we're all poised ready to pounce, the very second it appears!
PS - you must be psychic... how did you know my birthday was in June? ;o)
