Does anybody knows if Dennis Coffey ever performed live with his group ? Especially during the 70's.
I have 45 on Dennis Coffey & the Lyman Woodard Trio called "It's your thing" (Isleys song) flip side is River Rouge. The 45 was released on Maverick Records MA 013106.
Any information on this one?

Hi MArcel
Dennis performed live with Lyman Woodard and Melvin Davis at the Frolic Show Bar and then Maurie Bakers Showplace (Both Clubs in Detroit).
We are in the process of shopping live recordings made at those clubs. The CD should be available soon. It is hot.

Marcel,
I used to go see Dennis play with this trio. They were something to hear. If Mike is going to release some of these perfomances on CD's I'm sure they will be hot.

Marcel-Since you're so tight with George Clinton,do you know Armen too? I'll be seeing him in a couple of days. You must know him if you're licensing George's stuff. He's a great guy. When he gets back in town,I think he's going to go on this forum.

Dear Marilyn,
I have never met Armen face to face. I spoke with him a couple of times about Funkadelic etc. If you talk to him, please ask him if he would be interested in releasing the United Soul album. There is enough material if he needs any help, please let me know ? I do have all the details. Can you ask Armen if he has a complete archive list of all the recordings he has? I have some great ideas but therefore, I need to know what his archive is about.

Marcell-
I should be seeing Armen in the next couple of days. I'll get a list of all his recordings. That's no problem. As for him releasing anything,I think it would be if he thought there was a big enough market for it. He's a very good business man. Maybe Andrew Rix can talk to Ace about licensing that United Soul album. They license a lot of Armen's stuff.
