Hi Eli - I was searching through the BMI website and chanced upon the song title "Happy Man" which you wrote. Is it autobiographical?
Best wishes, Graham

Did you know you get a namecheck on one of Goldmine's current CD releases...?
I quote from Kev Roberts' liner notes to "Sounds Like 54 - 27 New York Disco Cuts" (a good half of which were cut in Philly!)
"Today's pop hits are dance, largely due to creativity of the background players such as Tom Moulton, Vince Montana, Bobby Eli, Stan and Joe Cayre."
I'm not QUITE sure kind of point he's making there... :o)

Hey Bobby
I was just playing "Working The Modern Room" - a new compilation on KRL (from Goldmine), and one song stopped me in my tracks. I just had to pause and see what it was all about. Lo and behold, "arranged by Bobby 'Electronic' Eli" - I couldn't help but smile - it's that man yet again!
The track in question: Beware She's Pulling My Strings by Flashlight. yet another killer cut from the master!

Tanks for the kudos Ritchie. Yo Babbitt, I spoke to Marie at the union and she gave me a number on Thom. I will see if it is a working number.
I will be in NYC at the film showing. Can't wait!!

I spoke to my dear friend Bily Butler and he sends his thanks for the condolences sent on behalf of his late wife Kikki Farrow, and also thanks everyone for their continued acceptance of his music to thisvery day. I told him of the paragraph I saw in the This is Northern soul book written by Ginger which said that when he dies the only thing hewants to be buried along with him is his copy of Billy Butler's Right Track!!

Just looking through my records for the Afrique stuff and I stumbled on this 'hardly played' single on 'roadshow' records: She calls me baby/J. Kelly and the Premiers from 1973 - recorded at Sigma!
The Linda Clifford stuff, the guitars seem way back in the mix. I will check again tonight. Again, it was 5am!!
