Here's Georgie BEFORE his bald days, when he was the wild man on his guitar. Of course he's still wild!

Thanks for those pictures of me with hair. I remember the hair and also remember I had curls falling down over my face when I was singing and playing my guitar.. the only problem? My hair kept on falling.
Karole and I may see you at the Clawson Steak House.. warn George K.

Great Pictures, I am continually impressed by your postings. I think this is the first time I saw George with hair.

DeAnne ... I think you got the only picture of me wearing a hairpiece! YES! In that picture of WYSI Radio, I was wearing a piece!

Everyone was telling me that I should try it. So, I did. I wore it when George Young and the Youngsters worked Reno at the Golden Casino. My agent from Vegas came up and didn't care for it. He said I looked normal with it. Then, I remarked, what with no hair I looked abnormal? No, he sad, but since I was the only bald band leader who worked Vegas, people took more notice to me on stage and the comedy worked better without the hair.

Well, DeAnne, here's the rest of the hair story... I was driving down the freeway in Reno going downtown in my Olds converable when (you guessed it) my hair flew off.. as I looked back, I saw that an 18 weeler ran over it. I stopped and picked it up.. it looked like road kill.

After the gig and I was back home, I put it away and never wore it again.

By the way, Karole saids hello and we'll give you an update on our Game Show. It has really "taken-off!" Just came back from a Florida tour .. in a week and ahalf.. we did 11 shows!

We've made a lot of changes since we were together in Vegas. Hey Ed.. stop the press! Looking forward to Sept. 6. How come I was the last one to know about this reunion at Clawson?

I love your hair story. No I didn't know it was a peice...I thought that I was lucky like Marilyn to have a picture of you with hair. Love you.

Well,DeAnne, you're probably not an "old broad",like me,so it's okay. When you come to town,I'll make sure you can see my stuff,so you can see what the business was like 10 years before your time. Looking forward to meeting you. I think I was living in N.Y. during your reign here.
Tunefully yours,
Marilyn

Dear Marilyn, We are not old broads!! We are doing just fine. I am looking forward to meeting you. I'll bet New York was the best during that time. We go where we need to be at the time. This September, we need to be in Clawson. I am looking forward to it!!

Crazy George. I remember the CKLW daze with George. Pier 500, Nitelite Bar on Schoolcraft in Detroit. What a guy.

We did a very successful TV show together on Cable a few years ago. They are probably running some of the old shows in this area still.

There is not enough space here to tell all the "Gorgeous George" stories........lol
