I spoke to Chuck today - Johnnie Mae's son - and he told me that he's going to auction some of his late mother's memorabilia. He didn't have any details so I wonder if anyone here has information about this auction? He mentioned that there are some "Motown" things being sold too.

Sorry to sound overly sentimental, but this talk makes me feel rather sad. As some of you know, my Father died in January, and I don't think I personally could contemplate selling his things just yet. Sorry to put a downer on the thread - but that's just how I feel... I only hope Chuck is doing it because he wants to, and not because he needs the money. OK, I'll shut up now.

I read that most of her Motown memorabilia was going to be donated to Motown. They have first choice. So, I guess whatever is left is going to be auctioned.
