I just heard from Fred. He said his visit with DeAnne was fantastic and that she looks GREAT! She GAVE him her only copy of Head and Shoulders. DeAnne...you're aces sweetie. Fred told me he will jump on the forum as soon as he can.

Fred looked great...but we don't want his head to swell any more...or his wife to think I was talking out of school...he hasn't changed a bit...what fun to see someone after thirty years. Oh...I love this place!!

Hello All:
Wow, I feel famous! What a pleasant surprise to drop in and see all my old friends and some new ones too. Yes Dave F., I did produce the LLoyd W. Williams single. I too have a copy, only one. It was done in Detroit. I just pulled it out and listened to it. Sounds pretty good. I'm trying to remember which studio we did that in.
Regarding "Head and Shoulders", in the next few days I'll post the story of how that record came about and how a tight budget forced us to re-edit the rhythm track and write a new song for it. It ended up as the B-side of "Street of Shame" a Tommy Frontera record on the Palmer label. Music magic!!!
More to come....

Ernie Stratton passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2002. He was 74 and a terrific guy.

I spoke to his brother today who told me that as recently as two weeks ago, Ernie was so sick and weak he could hardly get out of bed. Someone put on one of his old records, "I'm the Man" by the Dynamics. Ernie came to life, stood up and started dancing. He loved that song. (He wrote it)

Farewell Ernie and thanks for giving me the opportunity to get into the music business. We had some fun didn't we?

Fred

I'm so sorry I haven't called you..how long has it been? A couple of years I guess. Have you talked to Robin Seymour lately? I really need to get in touch with Art Cervi...he'd love this site! Glad to hear life is treating you well...we should all stay in good health and count out blessings every day! Good to see you on the site!

I'm curious--did Ernie have a hand in any other labels besides Ernstrat and Top Ten?

Best,

Mark

Its Marilyn again. Have you been able to dig out your old Teen Lifes yet? After my big show on July 20th,I intend to put a LOT of time & energy into getting Detroit's museum started. I'll be doing a lot more of these shows too. Eventually,I want to have concerts at the museum
